The Great Commission is not to go make republicans of all nations

This is exactly why I think that Christians need to stop focusing on trying to win political battles and focus on evangelism and discipling with the fullness of the faith. England used to be a bastion of Christianity and now it is persecuting them.
Issues like abortion, homosexual unions, and etc role out of the fact that most people in the US are unchurched. Seek political solutions and you get neither political victories nor disciples; seek disciples and you get political victory along with them.

    Nice post. I could not agree more.

    While our churches don’t need to be political advocates if the members of our churches are changed and continue to be true to their first love our churches will grow and our politics will change.

    thanks Brian. Yes, there is danger of doing things backward. Its a trap a lot of people fall into.
