Recognizing the Fatherly Hand

August 9, 2010

I buried this gem of a quote in an earlier post but I thought it was worth bringing to the top and giving it a post of its own. It is brilliant.

“When a person believes the power of God upholds heaven and earth, with all creatures, and so governs them that herbs and grass, rain and drought, fruitful and barren years, meat and drink, health and sickness, riches and poverty, yea, all things, come not by chance, but by his fatherly hand – when a person believes and cherishes that truth, they have the key to a God-entranced world view.” – Heidelberg Catechism, 1563.

Ws, this is beautiful. Will you post it on the Creation page?

…or I may have to steal it! Thanks.

  2. W. Vida Says:

    Hi Beth,

Yeah, when I read it I thought, “that is just perfect.” I will post it right now.
