This article sums up my thoughts on the Lost finale.

‘Lost’ from a Christian Perspective

My wife and I have been watching Lost since the beginning. The finale is tonight. I have been thinking through some of the themes and trying to understand if there are any Christian themes. I have to admit that this final season appears to have an eastern-religion feel to it more than anything in Christian theology.

But here is a review from someone who disagrees with me; he makes the case that the series should be seen as an allegory of Christian questions regarding fate, free will, good, evil, cultural conditioning and redemption. I thought it was interesting. I will enjoy watching the finale with these things in mind.

Update: I hated the ending. Not for religious reasons….I just thought it didn’t tie anything together and seemed like it was made up in the last week. Horrible end to a good series. Oh well.
